The Answers Which are LONG Overdue!

Okay, remember when I did the Q & A post?  Yea, I almost forgot too!  Well, It's about time I settled up on that, dontchathink?

I have to admit, I laughed a little and pondered quite a bit.

Well girl, I'm here...but you already knew that! I'm trying to think if there is anything I can ask you that I don't already know....hmmmmm! The only think that comes to mind is - SUNFLOWERS. Do you still have all of those sunflower decorations (that were in your old room) and if so, are they up somewhere in your house or packed away? Love ya, hun! HUGS!!

Seriously, Hollie...you remember that?  LOL!  I was cracking up at this!  Friends, let me tell you...my room was TOTALLY covered in sunflowers! It was an obsession.  I have to say that they are all gone now except for a very select few that were packed away.  But, I still love sunflowers.  Seriously.Love.Them.  I would rather get sunflowers over roses any day!  I have a few things around the house and of course my tattoo!

Hmmmm . . .seriously, anything? Surely I can come up with some amazing question. Let me think . . . nope. The only thing I can come up with is:
1. Are you coming to Dallas for another blog reunion (assuming we schedule one).
2. What's your best recipe/favorite family meal that is your no-fail thing that you can make and everyone loves it?

1.  I would love to come back to Dallas for another Blog Reunion!  We'll have to get on Jen to get that going, if she's up to it!  If not, I try to make trips up every few months to see my best friend and her family, but it doesn't always work out :(

2.  My go to recipe is a Mexican dish that remains nameless.

1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can enchilada sauce
1 lb ground beef
Tortilla chips
Cheese

Brown meat.  Mix together the soups and enchilada sauce on medium heat for about 10 minutes.  Stir in meat.

In a pyrex dish, in a size of your own choosing, crumble chips, then spoon a layer of your mixture on that, then repeat until all the mixture is gone!  I put a final layer of chips and then top that with lots of cheese!

Cover with foil, bake on 375 for 15-20 minutes.

There you go!  Super easy dinner!  And everyone loves it!  If someone happens to think of a name for it, be sure to let me know so I can stop calling it "that Mexican stuff"!

My question for you... what got you started painting and making such beautiful creations?

Thank You!  My mom enrolled me in art classes when I was little, and if I'm not mistaken, I think Jen was in them too {with Mrs. Woolheater}?  My mom was always very crafty, and I guess she just instilled it in me.  After I had Caroline, I realized I was wasting so much money when I could be making all the stuff I was buying, so I got back into it!

hey alicia! i love your blog and getting to know you better because of it. i love seeing all of your beautiful crafty projects and seeing your precious Caroline grow up. :) I remember when you and Michelle would bring your babies up to the salon years ago!

my question is this........
was there a defining moment in your life where you decided to live for the Lord or has it been a gradual process?

I love this question.  I would say it's been a gradual process that I'm still not done with!  I remember asking Him to be my Savior, I knew what it meant, but obviously as you grow older you also grow in the Lord.  Living for the Lord when your 9 is a lot different than living for the Lord when your 31!  LOL!  It's always going to be a gradual process for me.  Yes, I can say that I have always believed, trusted, put my faith in Him, but my decisions haven't always reflected that, and sometimes they still don't.  I think with each milestone I have in my life, it becomes more.  I hope that makes sense!

Nothing but the Truth..Q & A Time!

I was thinking...I don't really care who follows/reads my blog...but, I am curious!  I know you're out there.  How about a Q & A?  I  have the urge to be connected, maybe because of the holidays and all.  Thanksgiving really makes me think about the things I'm thankful for {well duh!}, and of course Christmas makes me think about Christ and all that he has given to me, all the graces I've been bestowed.  I truly believe that God has given me this outlet for a reason, whether its to share my experiences with others, encourage, inspire, or just be there for others, and vice versa.  There are so many of you out there that I read and gain those exact things from that I'm thankful for you.  I can be me, with no worries.  Of course, I know that there may be those who don't agree with things I post, but that's okay too...you learn from it all.

I follow tons of blogs...some IRL friends, and some "virtual".  I feel a connection with all of those people.  I know there are others out there, and I would love to be able to connect with you too!  Even if you may not have a question for me, I would love for you to at least say hi.  That way, if you have a blog, I can return the gesture and stop by.  I've found that there are so many others out there that share some of the same joys, pains, happiness, sorrows and just pure life that I can relate to, or share an experience with, maybe even help someone in a troubled time...those things warm my heart.

Please let me know if you have any questions...silly or serious that you would like to know the answers to, and I will gladly tell you the truth, and nothing but the truth!  I've led a great life thus far, made my fair share of mistakes, been down roads I wish to never travel again, and had some unbelievable joys that only God can bestow upon me.  I'd really like to connect with more people, won't you be one of them?

Ask away my friends, ask away!

Hello? Are You Still Out There?

I have so neglected my blog this last week! That's not like me! Me not "talk"? Ha....

We have been dealing with some big changes that still may or may not happen, and to be honest, it's taking its toll on me. We were presented with an opportunity, then it changed, then it changed some more, and now, you guessed it, it has changed yet again. We're not really sure what is going to happen, but I feel like He is in control, and right now...I'm waiting to be shown what's in His plan. Say a prayer for us please? We sure do need them about now!

Anyway...I do have some fun stuff to post about! Caroline's 1st day of 1st grade was today, and boy was she in full Caroline sass! Sometimes that girl cracks me up! And I have a Thought Filled Thursday to post with lots of thoughts on all sorts of things! Be sure to check in tomorrow for that post...there are just some things that never cease to amaze me!

I would probably feel so much better if I had been on here blogging out my thoughts, fears & frustrations...if I promise to be better, will you still be out there? I won't lie, I love to hear from my bloggy friends! You share the same struggles, and have some great things to say just when a girl needs a little boost!

Does Anyone Even Read This?

Curiosity has gotten the best of me. I am beginning to wonder if anyone even reads my blog?!?!?

Now I am not so self involved that I need comments {okay...maybe just a little :)} but I never know if anyone is reading. Now keep in mind that even if no one reads this, it is a memoir from me to Caroline. Something that she can look at and know how much I love her and how quirky her mommy really is, and remember all the good things about her family and friends!

If you do read, if you don't mind, just leave me a little comment every now and then. You can even do it anonymously, I'm not that picky! This is not something you have to be a member of.

That's it, show me a little love & support from time to time!
