Super Cool Party People

Sorry, the title really has nothing to do with my post, but I was watching a Gilmore Girls episode titled that.  Random, I know.  I've been back to the doctor twice this week.  On Tuesday they called me to ask that I come back on Thursday to get another round of x-rays and bloodwork.  UGHHHH!!!  So today I went and did the same routine as Tuesday.  I got a call about an hour after I got home telling me that my pneumonia has improved quite a bit!!!  Thank goodness...I wasn't looking forward to another round of steroids & antibiotics.

I have some stuff in the works with a dear friend for a "swag bag" at a store opening in Austin, so exciting, and I hope it goes well!  I'll have about 100 items to make for this, but it will be awesome advertising.  I'm also doing a spring photo shoot.  And of course my back drop will be the beautiful Texas Bluebonnets.

Caroline's been busy with friends and cheerleading when she's not at school or doing homework.   Which she hates!  She had cheer tryouts this last week and we are waiting to hear the results.  She's hoping to move up a level since she can do her back handspring now. 

I've been working on getting caught up on all my posts, that I've slacked on big time.  Geeesh, I miss blogging daily.  But I'm getting back into the swing of things.  Hope your all having a great week!

I know, I KNOW

I know I keep saying that I'm going to get back into my daily blogging...and then never do it.  But things have been, well, life.  I've been sick since my last post!  After I got over the flu, I was fine for a week.  Then I came down with strep, sinus infection & bronchitis.  Yikes!  Then that turned into pneumonia, which I still have.  So bare with me until I get to feeling better...please?

I miss blogging my thoughts, funny tidbits, pictures, our life in general.  And I miss my bloggy friends!  And I miss getting comments.  So if anyone is still reading, don't give up on me yet!

A quick bit of Mayhem for you...we have 10 dogs right now.  Yes, I said 10 dogs.  One of our girls had puppies.  Which are adorable.  But they have to go...soon.  So, when they are all in new happy homes, we will be back to our normal brood of 5.  I know, its sounds crazy, but we have some land, so its not like we have 5 dogs in our house.  We only have 2 that come inside because the others would much rather run the open fields.  Unless its cold or rainy or really hot...oh who I am kidding, of course they'd love to be inside.  They're just big dogs, so we keep them outside the majority of the time.  I took pics of the pups so I could advertise {get rid of them}.  They really are adorable...

I'm a POS

Yep, I am .  I'm a prisoner of sickness {did you really think I meant a piece of ____? LOL!}.  I've been sick for weeks.  First with the flu & sinus infection that knocked me down for a week and now I have another sinus infection, strep & bronchitis that have knocked me down all this week {and yes Nicole, we've all been taking are Lil'Critters, lol}.  This year hasn't started off so peachy.  I'm hoping that this year makes a u-turn soon and life gets back to normal around here.

I have 10 million things to blog about, about 200 lbs. of laundry to do, and a house to clean.  So if you know anyone who just has the urge to clean and do laundry, email me, I'll give you my address.  Until I'm feeling better, these are my new best friends...

Blogged Much?

Somehow I keep slacking in my blogging.  I think of all the things I need to do a post on, and then get too busy to get it posted!  HA!  So, I'm really going to try to get caught up on this here blog.  If I don't, I'll forget all the great things I wanted to remember!

So, today I'll leave you with a quick story that made me laugh!

I know by now, most of you have figured out how silly Caroline is, so here is your Friday Funny.

I pick her up from school on Wednesday and she hands me this folded up piece of notebook paper.  Of course, my 1st thought is that some stinky boy {just kidding} wrote her a note!  She tells me she needs me to take her to the address on the paper.  So, I look at her like she's crazy, and she starts laughing.  It's the address of one of her little friends, and they've decided that they, plus 2 other little girls are starting a business, and I need to take her to the little girls house to get started!

So when I ask her what this business is, she tells me that they are going to have a make-up & hair stand!  HA!  They'll have a 4 stations:  hair, make-up, nails, and perfume.  Each thing costs a quarter!  I'm telling you, she had me laughing so hard!  She told me about how they planned to mix lotions with glitter for the perfume station, and that they were going to mix their own lipstick colors. 

When we got home, I told Tab that he needed to hear her business plan.  After she got done telling him all about it, she proudly announced that, "Hey, it's free enterprise". 

My guess is that they must be learning about businesses in class!

Let's hope her make-up skills have improved!
